Speedometer not working
I once washed my bike with a pressure washer and after that my speedometer stopped working. It worked once after that and it just quitted on me all together. I replaced sensor on top of the tranny thinking that was the trouble and still nothing... any ideas I checked the wire to the sensor and it's fine... it sucks riding unaware of my real speed specially on base there are SF cops with nothing better to do than stop folks driving 5 miles over the speed limit. Any help will be appreciated!

Re: Speedometer not working
Sorry to hear it Hippo.
You probably now know a pressure washer and HD's don't get along too well. You might get lucky and the speedo could dry out but don't count on it. Best thing is to start looking for a new or good used one. Sorry man. Wish I had better news for you. |

Re: Speedometer not working
I had problems with my 2000 and ended up replacing it. $200, but it was worth it. Damn speeding tickets are a lot worse.

U might try recalibrating it. I'll see if I can find some instructions.

Re: Speedometer not working
As a last resort, ya might try a heat gun or hair dryer on the speedo/wiring.
