'81 Sportster

I own an '81 Sportster 1000 XLH. I was told when I acquired it 10 years ago it was a limited edition "Milwaukee Special". However, I have not been able to confirm there ever was such a beast. It is the orange and black Harley colors with "Milwaukee" on the front fork bar. Does anyone have any information on it?

Thanks!

Re: '81 Sportster

I also own a 1981 Milwaukee Edition Sportster. Visited on line recently with a guy in NY who also owns one. He says that he has a letter from HD stating that 500 were made.
