OK, I know I'm a little late on this post but better late than never.
Several weeks ago I purchased a set of Python Staggereds from DJ at CycleSpot.
I received the pipes within a couple of days and set upon the task of installing them. The install was fairly easy and only took a couple of hours. I was very impressed with the quality and the sound is GREAT! I have received lots of positive comments on how my bike sounds compared to the old exhaust.
To say the least I am VERY pleased with the results and the whole transaction.

Thanks Again DJ and CycleSpot!!!!

Mr502,
Spoke with DJ and he said you toyed with the SE 16 ga. double barrels. Did you try drilling the plug in the baffles? I put a set on, and they seem to need a little more room to breathe, so I was thinking of leaving the baffles in, but drilling progressively larger holes in the baffles, or even a series of small holes.
Any thoughts?

Maddog,
If you pull your baffles and examine them closely you will notice they are a baffle inside a baffle.
What I did was cut the end off just past where the two peices are welded together and removed the inner baffle, welded on a new nut then reinstalled the outer peice.
Granted it made the pipes louder but in my opinion they sounded tinny. I just wasn't happy with the sound. I didn't try drilling out the holes or knocking the ends out of them. If you decide to go that route let me know the results.
I hope this helps!
P.S.
I couldn't be happier with the Pythons, If you decide to change out the pipes I would highly reccommend them.

Maddog :metoo: If you decide to choose a pipe... I second Mr502's vote for Pythons... and as he stated I couldn't be happier...
