These pipes are freaking awesome!:gun2: After hearing my bike with these pipes I am more than impressed. It actually sounds like a Harley Davidson now! Woo hoooo, potato, potato, potato.
For you visual folks I'll have some pics up tomorrow. I'm too **** tired right now to deal with pics and webpages and all that. I am going to bed to dream about potato, potato, potato. Actaully I'll post the pics tomorrow after I go for a ride. Maybe I'll get a good sound bite too...later.

:theyareon Oops, I guess I can't say the d-a-m-n word here, sorry about that, next time I'll try to be more fooking PC.
:spank:
Okay I finally took a few pics of the scoot with the new mods. I dropped by the local HD dealer to return a torque wrench that I had borrowed and decided to snap a couple quick pics...
So far I've put about 150 miles on the bike since adding the bars and pipes. I have a few observations. These two mods and my mustang seat are by far the best things that I could have done, bar none. It's really a different bike now compared to when it was stock, but since this is the exhaust spot I'll keep to the subject at hand.
I LOVE my Rineharts! They are loud and have a sweeeet deep rumble. As far as performance is concerned, I think it's a has a little more get up and go, it feels like it anyway when I put the hammer down. My SE stage 1 kit hasn't arrived yet so I'm expecting a big kick in the seat when I add that. I wasn't expecting them to be as loud as they are. Personally I wouldn't want them to be any louder. I try to be respectfull of my neighbors especialy since I'm a foreigner (American) in an Islamic country. But even if I was back home I wouldn't want them to be any louder, it would just be obnoxios. I love how they look and think they go well with my bike. The chrome is top notch, though they were packed in plastic bags which I wasn't to keen on, plastic can scratch. At idle they are a nice low rumble and at cruising speed they are a nice mellow rumble as well. It's when I get on it that these puppies really open up. LOUD!:gun2:
So here's the pics...

Nice, very nice!! :smokin:
The bars and pipes look great. The whole bike looks great. I really do like the bars a lot.
Some people think I like the bars too much.
Good mods.
JJ 02FXDL, Glad your on cloud nine! The change from a stock sound to any other pipe is usually a rush you just can't get over. They look great with those signature tips. I have a friend that just picked some up for his Deuce. They looked great in the box. Your ride looks sooooooo good! Enjoy!
Hey bet the temperatures are starting to get up over there now eh what?

Hey bet the temperatures are starting to get up over there now eh what?Today I went for a ride at 1 p.m. and it was 94 degrees in the shade. I've got one of those Oregon Scientific weather stations with a thermometer outside and a base station inside. It's pretty cool 'cause I can see how hot it is outside from my airconditioned inside. I have to keep it in the shade though cause it's max reading is 120 degrees and here shortly it'll be hotter than that in direct sunlight.
I added two cool pics to my CS gallery (http://www.cyclespot.com/forums/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=189) as well as a pic AND a video with sound to my webpage (http://www.bostick.tv/harley.html) (go to the bottom of the page to see the newest stuff). Please go check it out and tell me how it sounds. The file is an avi file and is a little over 4 megs so if you have dialup you'd better go get a cold beverage.

Sounds oh-so-sweet. Now we need to hear a "drive away" and a "drive by" to really be able to judge them.
MUCH better than stock, no?
Peace.
O.C.

much MUCH better than stock. I'm really quite amazed at the difference. "drive away and drive by" you got it. I'll have to get the wifey involved. Hopefully it'll work because the only thing that I have for recording is my dig. camera and today I tried recording a couple of revs but the audio is automatically normalized by the software. When I loaded it onto the computer and listened to it the idle sounded good but when I reved it up the sound was lowered so that it didn't even get any louder. I'm not sure how to correct that. Maybe it'll work better when the camera isn't right next to the bike for those two shots. At any rate it'll have to wait till the weekend....

The video was great, twist the throttle next time! Hahahahahaha.
BTW nice pad, looks like the ones I stayed in Dahrahn. I like your bike garage too! Ride safe and coooooool.

Palerider,
Are you installing the true duals or the slip-ons? Big difference in installation. Let me know. I can help a bit with the true duals. I have them on my 04 King.

Make sure you get all the old exhaust gaskets out. Put the mounting hardware on the bike, install the system on loosely make sure everything lines up right, then start at the heads tightening everything down. The instructions I got with my system were really pretty good. only takes a few hours and the most basic hand tools. Dont forget to re-jet/calibrate your fuel system, and add A free flowing filter.

I agree with what loosewheel said. Also, just so you know, the right side floorboard has to come off to get the front headpipe in place. I also recommend using the copper RTV sealant as per the directions on the mufflers. I've had my mufflers off to replace the rear tire and didn't use any going back together...... I have a leak at the muffler/headpipe joint now....:mad3:
