I have Cycle Shack slip ons on my 2002 Lowrider.
I don't like the sound, too loud and they sound like #&*!. Way too much loudness without enough base. After riding for an hour I feel like my Mother-In-Law has been nagging on me the whole time.
Also my neighbors have complained about the noise. Normally wouldn't be a big deal but they're friends and it's 5:30 AM when I pull out to go to work.
I have the stock pipes and am considering putting them back on.
How big a job is it to convert back over?
Will I need to reset adjustments on the carb or change out the jets?
I'm good with a wrench but don't know Harley's yet.
Cheers,
Wayne

Wayne do you have a high flow air filter, or know if the bike has been jetted already? If no filter, then you should be ok with the transplant, if yes on the filter and jetting, then your going to be a tad rich, but not bad.

Yes, my Dyna has a Stage One kit installed and has been re-jetted.
How difficult is it to re-jet and would this be something I should attempt?
I recall reading something about monitoring plug color and all to see if it's burning lean or rich.
Harley wants 300 bucks ( 3 hrs) to do this. Seems a bit steep.

$300 bucks is a lot to do this. You can change the pipes in less than an hour yourself. Do that and then see how it runs. Changing jets are easy if you feel up to it. $100 an hour is high for labour. My shop is $55 an hour. :thumb:
