Has anybody tried the hooker 4into1 pipe? Ihave a 02' fatboy with screaming eagle slipons and would like alittle more sound. kind of un sure about the styling. always been used to duals. Its hard to tell what they really look like on and what they sound like. any reply is one more than i have. :beerchug:

I'd like to see that...that's the first *x* into 1 pipe that hasn't made me want to vomit (speaking to looks here, not performance).

that's kinda the way I'm looking at it. But still a picture of one on a bike would be great. :wiz:

I just e-mailed Holly, we'll see if I get anything back. I flat out asked if they could send a full bike pic (or pics) with the Fourbidden on it. Hopefully I'll hear something.
Anyone know if this system performs as well as it claims? Everyone gets on my case about "blah blah blah 2 into 1 for performance and flow blah blah blah"...but a lot of the systems have a "look" that doesn't do it for me. Maybe this is the answer.

I know what you mean... on one of the posts there is a hp and tq ratings for 2into1 and dbls, the hp and tq was about the same. on stock motors the sound and looks are the most benifits.
Nope, dont know anything about the Hooker 4-1. It has been a long time since I've owned a cycle with more then 2 cylinders. :scatter:

the 4into1 hooker pipe is for harley's . they added a splt just after the mounting flange at the cylinders... Maybe a good idea to check out the product before you comment on it :bluegrab:

guess that is the end of this... no 4x1 pipe for me think I will stick to my SEII's and change the intake and carb... Thanks for the input :beerchug:

Their website claims 13hp added to a stock 2005 Softail on dyno test and available in Chrome, Black or Metallic Ceramic coatings. Having used a set of hooker stepped tuned pipes on a FXD for 4 years, I loved the quality, sound, and power they produced. Don't have dyno numbers for that setup, but I rode enough friends TC88s with various pipes and many of them felt like they were robbing the TC88 of it's full potentioal. If you want something different, then the HOOKER FOURBIDDENs (http://www.holley.com/types/FourBidden_(4_into_1_Pipes).asp) look like they'll fit that bill. Additionally, my Hooker pipes still looked new after 4 years.
... Maybe a good idea to check out the product before you comment on it :bluegrab:
Just an observation...
KB didn't comment on the pipes.
As you surely know, it is very unusual for a two cylender motor to use four pipes and it is quite common for four cylender motors to use them.
The way I read it, he was simply stating he couldn't help you out with any additional info because his experience is mainly with two bangers. (Not realizing the Fourbiddens are actually for two bangers.)

I downloaded the video. It is short and only shows the pipe on a couple bikes, including a couple running shots on a Heritage Classic. (Since I have a Heritage Classic that was good for me.)
I kind of like them. The sound is not the best for me, but the look isn't bad for an "X" into 1 system.
I'll still stick with my 2 into 2's though!

The 4x1 are for H-D's. they just tap into the two pipes that are bolted to the heads then split them for the hot rod look. Used to have the 4x1 on my 66'vette. they were great on the car but not so sure about the bike....

Just put them on and love them. :spin2: They are loud, even with the baffle but not as loud as the Vance and Hines that I considered. I got the silver ceramic and I like the look of them on a silver bike. I haven't had a chance to get out and put some miles on them since it started to rain right after we installed them. :burn:
Not the best videos but it gives you a better idea than Hooker's site.

Drive by (sorry about the kids screaming in the background) (http://www.computerwrestlers.com/Bike/4in1b.avi)
