I have a 2006 Superglide 1450 cc with stage 1 upgrade. What dynometer results should I expect as for peak hp and tq? I have a friend with a 2006 Wideglide with the same upgrade (at half the price,) and he has an obvious difference in power over mine. Also, is there a difference between the "88" and "88-B" engines related to this?

Wow, 2 weeks and no replies. You should be at about 70 hp and 80 lb-ft with stage I. This is up from about 60 hp and 70lb-ft in stock form. Pipes can make a lot of difference, what are you and your friend running?

Thanks for the information. The peak hp was 74 with 70 lb-ft torque. I am running with Screaming Eagle slip-ons, and my friend is running with Sreaming Eagle II slip-ons.
Right now, I am having a 95 inch kit with cam and 10/1 pistons put in. They tell me it should dyne out at almost 100 hp. Does this sound likely?
I want to say thanks again for responding. My amount of knowledge is minimal, and this is a good place to become a little more informed.

100hp is doable alright, but I doubt you'll see it with stock heads. What cams are you getting? You want to be careful trying for a high peak horsepower number. Some combinations of cams, heads, compression ratio, etc give you big horsepower at high rpms but kill your low rpm torque. You can end up with less power in the rpm range where you normally ride than you have now. Not all combinations are like this, but ask about the torque curve you can expect with the parts you're getting.

I just put about 200 miles on the 95 inch upgrade. At about 500 miles I am going to put it on the dynometer. I have Screaming Eagle heads with the shop-recommended cam (I don't have the specs on it) and Vance and Hines stagger exhaust. I have really good performance in all ranges, but I don't think I have 25 more horsepower than before. But, it could be just the "feel" of it. I'll know more when I put it on the dynometer.

To reach 100 Hp on my Dyna (and this was back before so many monster engine builds and parts were available). It took heads, cams, exhaust, aftermarket ignition (which on yours is probably EFI) 95 kit, and a good sir filter. Now granted mine was a mello build, only 9.7 to 1 (I live in the freaking hot desert and didn't want any detonation issues) and my cam profile was less than some of the very good frinds out there now.
I can tell you a little time on the dyno making adjustments paid off in more HP and TQ than just throwing parts at it.

Thanks, DJ. I live in Houston, so I don't have to worry so much about detonation issues, unless I have an urge to get in afternoon rush hour traffic for hours in July.
I am in Angola now, so I won't be able to check out the tuning I asked the shop to do while I am here. I'll be back in mid July to see the results.
I'm also doing some cosmetic stuff. I don't like the handlebar profile so much, so I am changing to the Wide Glide profile. But, this was just a little too much for the existing cabling, so that had to change, also.
They should tune it really tight for me. I'll post the results of the upgrade, and get the specs on the cam when I return.
What surprised me most was the effect on the low end. With the 10-1 pistons added, my low end actually got better, even with the high-flow heads and exhaust.

hey db watch republic for their partys and sometimes they have free dyno pulls Also Competition in Pearland does some fine dyno tuning at a fair price to get the most out of your package

Thanks, Dd. Republic is doing the work on it now. I like the guys there. Every now and then I run into one or two of them out and about. They have really taken care of me there. I might have to be in town more to catch the party.
