To some extent the do break in and get a bit louder as the baffle seasons. If it's a huge change in noise I'd suggest taking a look and making sure you didn't have a baffle get loose. Also there is a quieter baffle for those pipes if you want to tone them down. Here's a link to an article we did on them: http://www.cyclespot.com/baffles.html

The peeps that drive around here are either on their cell phones or have their tunes cranked up all the way...I prefer to be heard...I jes make sure I don't blast it when I'm sitting at a light or when I take off...I'm considerate like that...LOL...'sides...don't wanna give congress any ammo to draft a law to moderate our exhaust! :angel:

A sidelight on the BSS. I found out you can turn the tips 90degrees to point outwards. I did this and now if you run up against some type of wall or barrier on the right it gives you some nice feedback. Not sure how it sounds from off the bike.

Lellie brought up a good point about noise increase. Once I get my Power Commander hooked-up and set-up, will the exhaust rumble on my BSS be louder because of increased fuel combustion? No complaints, just curious. Well, actually, my only complaint is when I wear my full-face-----I get a lot of exhaust rumble in my head. Seems like there is a low resonant frequency in that H-D helmet. I'd rather hear the wind whistling through my ears with a half helmet! :tard:
