Since Janklow-Gate and the assuming fallout, I figured a poll might be in order To see how everyone feels about his sentence and about Sturgis.
Good idea Jim. I hope everyone, when voting on this or any other issue (people are voting all over the country right now), will be thoughtful and serious.

I have a sneaking suspicion who voted for the rope..... :whip:
I think options 2, 3, and 4 are very good choices. Too bad we couldn't select more that one but I guess that would invalidate the poll. I don't see how boycotting Sturgis would send a message. Many people will show up anyway. Now if someone would hold a rally at Sturgis for Randolph Scott and send a message to the S.D. legislators...............
My 2 cents.
I agree Boom. It would be very appropriate for someone to have a booth or something at Sturgis to petition the state for just punishments in the name of Randolf Scott. We DO NOT need or want someone making money off this. Keep it legit, official, and credible.

Hey why can't I vote ,more than once?? I live in Chicago and we are known for having dead people voting!
If you are unfamiliar with the joke. :)
:spank:
It is most interesting that the very man that Gore selected to be his national campaign manager, William Daly, is the son of a former mayor of Chicago who had been deeply engaged in election fraud to the point of even having deceased persons vote for him. Though one cannot say that a son is always as corrupt as his father, yet it may very well be true that the son learned from his father, Hizzoner Richard M. Daley. He'll forever be remembered for making the choke sign on national TV during the riots at the Democratic National Convention in the sixties when anarchy broke out on the floor of the convention and police brutality was alleged by protesters.

Oh, the good old days. I remember them well. :nut:
If you want to boycott Sturgis, go ahead. You'll miss all the fun, your absence won't make a dent in the crowd, you won't be missed, and it will have no effect on the state of SD.
I am really dissapointed that so far only 19 members have voted on this issue. If you can't come together here, how do you expect to petition the state of SD.
  :indiff:
I guess thats typical. Just like our government. Everyone *****es but couldn't bother to vote to make change.
Personally, I'm more in line with the AMA and ABATE on this topic. That is, turning the frustration into action by getting riders together on issues and lobbying for protections and changes. Wearing a negative T-Shirt might help vent some anger, but it does little to change the minds and laws that currently prevail. IMHO.
That being said, I'd be inclined to vote for donations to the Scott family versus the others.
