Shovelhead clutch adjustment

Anyone know any tricks on adjusting clutch everything that I try doesn't work try the way the manuel says, but no luck it's like u have to goose the thottle somewhat to get into 3&4 gear

You may have a tranny problem, or tighten up your cable.

Is it just 3rd and 4th gears,or do all seem a little funky to get into?

That doesn't sound like a clutch problem, I would drain the trans into a clean pan and check the fluid for debris. Also make sure all linkages etc are in proper working order.

Yes, I don't think it is the clutch , but in the adjustment ,if it is all the gears that are shifting hard. If it is just 3rd and 4th, I would definitely start looking at the tranny. You may have a shifter fork or something either out of wack or may even be broke off.

I agree with Shovel head 73 Sounds like a transmission problem
