I just purchased a 05 1200 custom, added some little things, chrome, grips etc. Now I want to add a set of slip on's. The stock exhaust just doesn't do it for me. I've heard a lot about the SE/Cycle shack ones, but do I have to get into a/c and rejetting or will the mufflers do. Not looking for major performance increase just a little more sound.

You might want to check Sportster.org (http://www.sportster.org/). There is some useful information under the "technical" tab. You don't have to change the air cleaner if you change muffs, but you will see some performance gains if you do. Regarding the carburetor, at a minumum drill out the plug over the mixture screw and adjust it for best idle. Changing the slow jet to a 45 is also a good idea and easy to do.
