Hello everybody,

I have my doubts whether or not to put quiet baffles in my V&H straight shot slip-ons. Have a street bob 2008, and will also upgrade with stage 1 kit and SE race tuner. Any experience out there with these pipes? How are they sounding?

I have them on my 04 Sporty and saw no need for the quiet Baffles but the easiest way is to ride it for a while and if think is too noisy put them in.. I ended up selling mine.. Luckily didn't lose much on them ...

So they were too loud for you. How would you describe the sound (with standard baffles)?

Misunderstanding there... I sold the Quiet Baffles ... Kept the Pipes as they were with the standard Baffle... I think the sound is great, if go to V&H Web page they have a test sound area see what you think yourself... Might Point out that Cycle Spot will have the best price you can find and service that is top notch as well....

Hi Nemesis, I have V & H slipons on my 2007 Street Bob, I stayed with the baffles as supplied for a while but found the sound a bit harsh, the quiet baffle doesn't make them a lot quieter but the sound is a little softer.....the neighbours still hate me though LOL:omg: :wtf:

I have the SS's on my evo springer and it was loud with standard baffles, could not even idle by cars with alarms without setting them off.
Got the Quite baffles in and at least you can putt-putt by without setting alarms off still roars when you crack it open though. The sound it a little deeper with them in.
