hand grip stop light switch

Hey Everybody,

Hope all is well.

Just replaced the handgrips on my 2001 FXDL and now have a problem with brake light (always on) and also don't have any running lights on rear signal lamps. Turn signals and hazards all function properly. What did I do wrong?

I put cardboard between grip and housing as recommended in previous post but must still have damged switch.

The only thing I can think of you may have pinched a wire, I changed mine on my dyna with out any problems.
If something worked before you played with it, retrace your steps and look for a problem.

Sounds like a pinched wire to me also.

Thanks for the help. The problem was that when I put the grip housing back on the handlebar the switch wasn't being made as the brake lever was too far away. Everything's working fine now. Again thanks for all the help!
