I am undecided on an exhaust purchase. Slip on's or duals?

I currently have a '99 FLHTCI. I have Vance & Hines slip on's now, and I'm not very happy with them. They sound almost like stock. I'm looking for a heavier sound, but not extremely loud.
I've come across these tailgunner exhaust slip-on's, I like the look but unsure about the sound. Does anyone have these that can tell me anything good about them. Another option I have is just going with Rinehart duals and doing away with slip on's all together.

Any input on this would be appriciated.

Thanks...

The Rinehardt duals are some very good exhausts, if you want to spend the money for them. I'm not a big fan of the tail gunners

You might check out Big City Thunder Monsters baffles for the pipes you have now. I have Rinehart true duels and thunder monsters on the way.

I run Kerker slip-ons on my 2003 roadking I like them they have enough backpressure to make good power and they are considerably louder than stock mufflers. I have true dual headers ran into the Kerkers. With the kerkers I bought the turned end caps , you can turn these to several different positions ,downward or outward at an angle or straight out. I also think they make two or three baffles to go into the exhaust. I paid around $225 for them at the Myrtle Beach spring rally about 4 or 5 years ago. ON my 1992 lowrider I run Python II pipes , good torque, not too loud but not quiet either, ;they have removable baffles in them, but I have never taken them out.

Lot's to choose from out there, look around ask questions like you are doing now, listen to pipes on other bikes, ask what they are then decide.

Just heard a set of Rush slip ons (balogna cut ends) the other day on a stock bike and they sounded great. Not sure what size baffle he had in them though. I would suggest to go where there are a bunch of bikes and listen for the sound you like and strike up a conversation.
