Good Day to you all, can anyone help please?
I am new to biking and have invested in a XL1200L, 2007 with fuel injection, I really would like to fit a pair of Vance & Hines straight shot slip ons but am concerned with the recalibration of the injection system etc. To be frank I dont need any more performance just a better sound. I have asked various people about what needs to be done and get conflicting answers, & the HD dealerships just want your dough!! Do I need a fuel pack? do I need a different air filter? can I just buy & fit the slip ons and get the fuel injection system recalibrated? If so who can do this in the West Midlands (UK) and what would it cost?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You should be able to throw the slip ons right on to replace existing mufflers without any changes according to my Indy with no remap unless increase your air flow ... V&H or Rush Slip Ons are both good ways to get great sound by just going with slip ons ... Can get either one at Cycle Spot for the best price will find anywhere

Welcome to Sportsters.... I just, as in last night, put on the Rush 2.0 Baloney cut and fired it up this morning... Swwweeeetttt.... Nice deep tone, not just loud, but sounds incredible. At throttle it sounds great, at idle it sounds great, and I picked up a little extra zip... I would strongly recommend the above SlipOn, which was recommended to me from all of our friends here on Cycle Chat. Buy at Cycle Spot (sponser of this forum), with Express Delivery, $240.

Enjoy the Sportster..
