Speedo trouble

A speedometer on a 1998 soft tail stoped working at about 8000 miles. It lights up and the needle moves a little when I first turn on the ignition. I removed the speed sensor and cleaned alot of metal debree off of it, put it back together and it's still the same.

Anyone else have this problem?

I have the same problem and I'm trying to locate the problem. The light inside my speedo also goes off when the needle goes to zero. It dims the sound on my radio when it happens too. Kind of confusing.
