Engine light

I have a 2000 fuel injected Road King Classic. When I turn on the main power switcjh and then turn on the ignition swith, the engine light on the dash comes on like its supposed to and then goes off to signal its ok to start it. Lately the light will come back on and hold before i start it. It will then go off and then I can start it with no problem. I've been told that an old code that be hanging on. Any ideas or suggestions out there?

I would say that if you have old codes in the bike for some reason, I suggest clearing the codes. Let us know if that works.

Could be an old code; could be an issue with your ignition module. (code might be regarding module)
