fuelpac in a nightster need help !!

I just installed my exhaust, stage 1, and fuel pac on my 08 nightster. I installed the fuel pac according to directions and video. It seems that when I put the battery in it really smashes the thick wire harness up against the frame and I had to force the battery in there. Is this normal? should I be concerned with the possibility of the wires getting cut? I worked on it for hours and thats the only way I can make it go. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

make sure tour battery cover does not come away see if you can hold it with a cable tie as i know it is tight in there after putting one on a friends sporty
