brake light wont work

i have a 2000 sportster and was replaceing the brake light assembly. blew two of the 15 amp fuses. no lights, so i replaced and now i have lights turn signals but no brake or running light. any ideas i also checked the bulb and replaced

Loosen the brake housing and push it closer to the handgrip then re-tighten.
