I just bought a 08 all black nightster and I don't want to sink alot of $$ into a full system, but I love the all black look now. Does anyone know if there are all black slip-on's out and if so, what and how do I cover the rest of the pipes??? I need some help, I'm all new to the HD world, but I love it so far. I need some noise!:)

First of all-- Welcome and Congrats on the new bike. ( you should post in the new member area so everyone can welcome you properly).

The newest HD Summer Parts supplement that came in the mail a few days ago shows Black Screamin' Eagle Slip on Shorty Mufflers. In the picture they used Midnight Grey Screamin' Eagle exhaust wrap on the rest of the pipes. Not a bad look.

Good Luck. Post some pictures.
;) :peace:

Thanks so much for the info...I did indeed see the HD book and looked at the header wrap and the all black SE pipes, but I was wondering if there was a cheaper alternative to the all black look.

Get your originals ceramic coated. Or maybe high heat black paint.

Welcome, I can't help with your query but I agree that the blackout look is great.
I would caution, that whatever you do, do it properly and you wont regret. Price everything up and then you can make an informed decision. I am sure a little chat with the guys at CC would be a great start.

My buddy had his V&H Chrome short shots on his Dyna black powder coated with the high heat powder coat on the covers only. They look real good and are holding up so far. It was cheap too. If you are looking to save $$$ I found that you can get V&H shorty stagered pipes and the stage 1 air cleaner and the fuel pack for under a Grand. If you go with the slipons you still have to have the fuel pack and the stage 1 aircleaner so for me it made more sense to just repipe the bike. Go to youtube.com - type in nightster and look at all the cool videos of nightsters with V&H shorty pipes. Mine sounds and looks awsome. Sell something if you need the $$$ I did and love the new look and sound of my nightster. I put mine on at 1500 miles and man it is cool.
Good luck,
Mark

you can either buy some pipes from a number of brands like vance & hines or if you want to stay with the stock look, harley carries the original pipes in black. hope the info helps.
