View Full Version : Questions on Site workings
I have a couple questions about this site
1) Can you view the posts when you are not logged in? When I first go to the forums page the forums flash and then the log in page comes up. Is this a site where you have to be registered to view the posts?
2) When I log in I am directed to my User CP page. Is there a way to set your "start-up" page to the forums instead of the User CP?

Good morning Maalox,
You can view posts if you are not logged in, however, you can only post to them if you are logged in. If you ever see "guest" at the bottom of the page, that is someone browsing the forum who is not logged in and/or not a member yet.
For your second question, I am not able to replicate what is happening to you. I have Cycle Chat set on a "favorites" button and it remembers me when I open up the sight so I go straight to the forums front page. I logged out and tried again and it showed me the forum front page with the log in area in the top right corner where it usually says "Welome Back Biker Babe." Also, I'm not seeing a particular setting that would send you to the user cp each time. The only thing I can think of at the moment is is if your security settings are too high (ie: no cookies), and that it may default you back to that page each time.
Can you tell me more about how you are getting to the page each time, if you have it set to remember you, etc.? Maybe I can replicate what is going on and get you a better answer for the second question.
Hope this helps! :angel2:

I believe it is my security settings.
I deleted and reset my favorite to the forum page and it didn't change anything.
No worry, i'll work around it

Maalox,
Try going to you tools/internet options and delete your cookies. I had my cookies hang up once here, and once I tossed my cookies :barf: everything was fine. :nut:
Be aware it's going to make you log in to any site you use that holds cookies for you.
