Can someone tell me how to remove the baffles from the 16 gauge exhaust?

Top Kick,
You have to remove the rear heat shields. There is a couple of hose type clamps that hold them onto the inner pipe. (if you are real lucky you may be able to just loosen the clamps and slide the heat shield forward, be careful not to scratch the front shields).

After you have the inner pipes exposed there is a screw on the back side of the inner pipe that you remove then the baffles should slide right out. Some people then drill a hole in the outer shield in the location of the baffle screw so you don't have to remove the heat shields to replace or remove the baffles again.

Or you could just do what I did. Remove the SE 16ga. completely and replace then with some Python Quickstrikes. LOL

I hope this helps.

I would replace them if they didn't cost so much. I'll remove the baffles and try them for a while first. If that doesn't work for me, then I'll replace them.

Topkick, I've got the SE 16 gauge with baffles on my Deuce. It's more than loud enough for me. My buddy put the same pipes on his Wide Glide without the baffles and man is it loud. But I will say it has a good sound, just way to loud for my liking.
