GO RED SOX!

My Daughter Posted this message today about certain Boston Sports Fans:

"Boston sports teams are like men in relationships:

The Patriots are like the new boyfriend that you really like- he's awesome but almost too good to be true, so you worry.

The Bruins are like the guy that you just casually dated & you don't really care about him, he's just something to do.

The Celtics are like the marriage that was great at one time but has lost its spark & you always kind of look back & think about how great it was.

&

The Sox are the hard core abusive husband who just absolutely beats the **** out of you, but day after day you always go back to him because you always believe that tomorrow will be different & you just love him too much." :ignore:

Fbomer, you don't know punishment, 'till you've had a team like the Tigers.

I'll root for your team.

Being a sports fan here is a full time job, and takes a lot of commitment, just like in a marriage. The good thing is beer drinking is acceptable anytime and will not interfere with the relationship!!!

I'm not a real baseball fan but a hearty round of applause for the Red Sox! So maybe tomorrow at this time you'll be saying "What's with this stinking bambino, eh?"

I'm glad people are getting a lift from it; it's always good for morale when the home team wins. Me, I prefer motor sports and I went to sleep at 8:00 last night :cyclops: I'm with DaBatt, I don't like Da ball

For those of you who consider baseball boring, the final 4 games of the ALCS has been far from boring baseball, I'll agree, many games are boring.. these four have been terrific ball games..... Will be one of the greatest series in history, and I am not a Sox or Yankee fan!

Who'd a figured? :grinbounc

I'm not a good fan. I was already thinking wait until next year and making excuses for them to all the Yankee fans I work with.

It was worth staing up late just to look into the faces of the NY fans and have them experiance what we all have felt for years.

:iamwithst I mean FBOMER

Go Sox!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111 Finish the job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I said at the start... I'm a sucker for punishment...

Win or loose, I'm a fan... and we have lost so much in the past ecspecially to the Yankees that while we hope for the best, we are programmed to expect the worst.

This year, Victory was sweet! Red Sox made BB history with the 4-win comeback from 0-3 position in the series... Johny D. who hadn't been able to touch the ball with the bat the for the first 6 games stepped up to homer for 6 runs... Wow!

HOW SWEET IT IS!!!

That parade was pretty sweet - especially the water part. Pretty cool idea to lap the charles river (that's "lap" as in a race car, not "lap" as in a dog drinking :barf: ) I was in NH from last night but my brother went in with his wife + 7-month-old (with tiny redsox hat). Two bridges and two river banks were just packed with people screaming. Also coming into town just now I couldn't believe how much sox merchandise was being worn. Almost every business had a sign, some were pretty creative.

"the curse" (written backwards like you'd see it in a mirror)

"yankees, who's your caddy?" :mad3: Good stuff
