I am running the stock mufflers on my 2006 and thinking about switching to slip ons. Have been looking at Cycle Shack, Cobra, and Pythons. I have questions about performance and the need to buy a power commander. I would like to bike to be a little louder but not much. Just wondering what kind of mufflers you would recommend. I am not interested at this time in changing the pipes out. Maybe later. Would appreciate your help, suggestions, comments. Thanks, Jack

cycle shack or pythons I think would do better performance than cobra. Personally I'd probably go with cycle shack

Heritage- Thanks for the quick reply. I am leaning toward cycle shack but started looking and reading so trying to sort things out. I understand I can get a few more horses with different mufflers and they are supposed to sound better than the stock ones. thanks again, Jack

Before I switched to my V & H Bigshot staggerds, I had a set of screamin eagle slip ons for my '04 fatty, simple to install and had a nice sound but not very loud.

I'd go with Pythons... they are made by Vance & Hines and can use the same baffles. I like to use quiet baffles, they are not that quiet, just give a deeper tone. I have Python staggered on my bike and it has the ECU flash only. I ordered true duals So maybe you can save your money and get my pipes when I switch them? Let me know, you can have them for shipping and 50.00 and they are in good shape.

Tim- I found some older SE II's which I really like. Think I will stick with them for now and do an air cleaner upgrade. Thanks for the info and what a great looking bike. Jack
