Hi folks,
I should be getting my new V&H Big Shot Staggered's tomarrow and I am more excited than I was when I bought my bike! :flamejump
Even though hunting season starts tomarrow, I just can't stop thinking about my new toy's coming! So I have started the disasembly now.
I have the stock pipes off the bike now and am wondering if the (2) 1/4" allen head bolts that held the bottom exhaust brkt on should be put back on.
These are under the chrome tranny fill tank, it seams like they should be reinstalled but I'm not sure, and if so at what torque? The V&H instructions don't mention this other than removing them and the stock brkt?
Any advise would be great, Thanks

I just read the instructions on V&H's website and they say to install the Bigshots with the supplied 330 bracket. Use the supplied 3/8" bolts to attach the bracket to the frame. According to the instructions, you don't reuse the stock bracket. This is pretty common with aftermarket puipes, they supply the correct brackets which are usually different than stock. Save the stock bracket just in case you want to go back to stock.

I hope it runs as good as it sounds. :gun2:
Hey Murphdog, you any where near Greenville?
OK I'm calming down now. I did discover that the tranny bolt's are supose to be put back in. The new V&H brkt. mounted further down and to the rear. Everything went together perfectly. A big thanks to all the folks at CYCLESPOT, I bought the whole package from them and saved over $300 compaired to what the HD stealership wanted.
Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!

Good job Nimrod. Actually I'm real near Greenville, just south of it in Mauldin.
I've gotten where I don't buy anything but oil and filters at H-D of Greenville, everything else can be had much cheaper online. I'm thinking about a Pro Pipe next, got Cycle Shack slip-ons now and they're kinda loud. If I do decide Pro Pipe, CycleSpot has one of the better deals on it.
Weather looks good tomorrow and then again on the weekend. Get out there and make some noise.

Yep! I went to Hooters bike night last night now that I have a real sounding Harley. Had a few folks checking the bike out. I love the sound of this bike, at cruising speed it has a perfect low growl to it and when in heavy traffic a quick wack on the throutle lets the cages know I'm there! Just about froze my ass off on the way home. , live up in TR and work down by moonville. Matter of fact, When I bought this bike down in florida I had used a guy's trailer to go get it. He also lives in maldin. If your lookin at pipes, you should consider the V&H Big Shots, I know I'm completely happy with mine! :flamejump
Maybe we'll hook up some time and do some riding. Till then, Ride safe and watchout for those cages.
