Hello All,
While on a recent trip to Florida, I rented a 2008 Road King for the week. While this bike was being shown to me, I mentioned that I have an 03 Road King at home. While we went over all of the changes in the newer model I was asked if I had the 05 upgrade on my 03. Is there such a thing, or is my hearing gone and she meant/said a 95" upgrade?
Thanks, TWC

BTW, the 95" upgrade is not worth the money - total ripoff!! Have you made any mods yet or is it all stock? Because of course first things first, it needs to breath/flow better. That means Pipes (my personal faves are V&H or Fatcats), Air Cleaner (I prefer K&N) and air/fuel management (I'm carbed but if I was EFI I would only use Zippers Thundermax or Dynojet PCIII).
After that I would change the cams and if I wanted to put up some fairly big numbers get some headwork done.

TWC, good setup! Bang for the buck, you'll get a lot more out of cams and headwork than the 95" kit.

I agree that head work and cams are essential to get good power from a twin cam. But would'nt say the big bore kit is a waste of $. If you've got the heads off already, what's another few hundred bucks to have your cylinders bored and buy some new Hi comp pistons. Cheap horse power in My opinion.

Since you put it that way loose, I can see a benefit of the 95 if you have everything done at once so you're not paying for labor twice.
