Mycobra... welcome to CC!
Just my 2 cents here... but I have always liked the look of the long shots on a Hertage!

welcome MC... what are you looking for in pipes? Sound? Performance? Looks?

I'm most interested in looks and sound. I've got cycle shack slip-ons now. Just looking to upgrade to a more quality pipe. I like the old-school look of the duals but the aggressive sound of the big shots is nice too.

Welcome to the forum. I have Samson True Duals with long fishtails on my 04 Heritage. Can't be beat for looks, IMHO(have a couple of pics in my gallery). The quality of the Samsons is OK, the hardware with the kit is cheap, ungraded crapola, but for a few bucks you can get grade 5 or 8 hardware, so that is not really a big deal, other than for the price, they should give good hardware. 6 months and 14000 miles, and the front head shield is starting to show some bubbling on the chrome, have not yet contacted Samson, so I don't know what, if anything they will do about it. Run without baffles, or with Thundermonsters, they are LOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!! ! I later bought a set of the Samson baffles, and am pretty happy with the sound, mellow at idle, healthy at cruise, but still has a real good bark at WOT. I put on a set of big shot staggered's for a short while, good sound and performance, but went back to the fishtails for the look. With the bigshot longs, you will have to remove the exhaust to remove the rear wheel, which might be a PITA in the case of a flat (have had 2 rear flats in the 6 months/14000 I have had this bike).
Hope that helps, any questions, fire away.
