revtech problem

I have 6 speed, it has been running great but I went riding and while Im in 3rd i go to slow down and put it in 2nd and it wont go any where. It shifts into new ok but when I put it in 1st and release the clutch it pulls the bke a little and im giving it the gas but it goes no where. Im lost. I checked the clutch cable- its good, clutch plates are good.

Did you try total readj, of cable and clutch assembly?

I tried that, no luck. when i put it in 1st and release the clutch a little it starts to move but im given it the trottle and it goes no where. any thing else, great skull.

When you first put the trans in did everything work right and for how long? Can you see movement in the clutch pack when you pull the lever in? Wet or dry clutch?

dry clutch, yes everything seems to be moving, I tried to reajust clutch again and now I get it to move foward more in 1st gear but when u give it trottle it gives it no help. should i try a new clutch cable.

I don't think so your problem is gitting it to lock up, a streched cable wont give enough pull to disenguage. I have a BDL belt drive when i clean my clutch pack and readj, i loosen the cable all the way, put the clutch packback togather then turn the adjusting screw on the clutch pack in with my fingers just until it touches the push rod then turn it back out 1/4 to 3/8 of a turn and lock the jam nut. then readjust the cable until i have 1/16 to 3/32 of play in the clutch lever. Is this close to the same way you'r doing it. I have to wate until tomorow to ask some friends if something has gone wrong on the cable side of the trans. :wtf:

yea thats the way im doin it but Im using a allen to turn srew in til it wont turn no more(against the push rod) then i back it out about half to a full turn then tighten the nut. When i did this the bike would not even move in 1st gear. Maybe i should just take in and pay out teh azz. What ya think. still workin on it.

it has 3" prim belt and its belt drive.

Hell no not yet, thats why i use my fingers no chance of puting any presure on the push rod just untill it touches. :boxer: keep up the good fight.
