View Full Version : V&H BIG RADIUS
Anyone know when the V&H Big Radius are going to be available? I think these are the hotest looking pipes for a Softail Standard or Deuce. If they perform as good as they look, they'll be great.

In stock right now, how many sets you need?

I'll let you know. I have to scratch the pipes I got so I have a reason to replace them. Those Radius sure are hot.

Just kiddin' but should my current pipes get hurt in some way, this'll give me an excuse. The Radius weren't available when I was pipe shopping. :nut:

What was I THINKING! :shifty: :smokin:
Dyna Jim,
Thanks for the info on the Fat Cats. Before I pull out the plastic, I've got a question re: V&H Big Radius... Without a doubt, one of the best looking systems I've seen!
V&H advertises the Big Radius with claims of "powerful performance" and "...the kind of torque that will make riding a big V-twin even more fun" (their words). Is V&H exaggerating in their advertising? If these are just an expensive set of fancy drag pipes wouldn't I expect all the inherent reversion problems and a loss of power/torque in the mid-range?
My bike is a custom softail w/ a 100" RevTech running KromeWerks AR 100 pipes and an S&S Super E. I'm getting good power and torque at present but would like to try for a more custom look. I'm not too concerned about making more power/torque, but I don't want to lose any either. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Sakeman,
The big radius is a good performing 2 into 2, however, it does not have the power chamber (which aids in the 1700-2400 rpm range) so hence it will perform much like any 2 into 2 dragpipe. By Nature a 2 into 2 dragpipe without anti-reversion technology will have a reversion dip at lower RPM. Stepped headers help this, so does a power chamber. The big radius has a step but not a conventional one like you would find in a rinehart or hooker pipe. If performance is what your after, my feeling is the Fat Cat is going to perform better. You always need to balance looks against performance, and decide whats best for you.
