Hmm....Need some more company? :)

I was thinking of heading down myself, but hadn't decided yet on when. I'll keep this in mind and will let you know. Email me as the time approaches and you know for when and where you all will be.

Ride Free!

Silver, that'll be great. We'll be there around 6pm on the 6th. It goes until 9pm. We may get there earlier. I'll get with you on the specifics later.

I'm meeting up with a bunch of guys from the TLPlanet on Saturday morning and will be spending Sunday there with the BF, too. Silver, I'd love to have the chance to meet you!

Just checking in. :)

For those interested, some of us will be meeting at about 7:30pm on Friday night - February 6th. Location will be at the H-D display, around the new XL1200R. The H-D display should be just as you walk in, and the XL1200R should be on a display turntable at the front of the H-D display. :)

Friday night we made it to the show in Rosemont, Illinois and didn't spend too much $$$ except to park and get in. The place was packed. They were charging $4 for what looked like a one gulp 6 oz. cup of beer.
I would have liked more choppers but still had a fun time checking out all the bikes and vendors.
Mrs. Deuce02 and I had the pleasure of meeting up with Silver and a bunch of friends. Maybe next year we'll do the show in Vegas.

Now all we need is some decent riding weather.

Gixster, is that the same IMS that you are talking about on the 20-22??? I was supposed to be at the one in IL but I am in Midland, MI this weekend for a customer and the week of the 16th i will be in troy, MI. Is this the same show???

I hated to miss it, so another chance would be great.

Peace

Yes this is the same show you missed in IL. This is taking place the same time the autorama is happening at cobo... so there will be a TON to look at.

I ended up working Friday evening, so meeting up with Deuce and Silver was unfortunately out of the question. Made it down there both Saturday and Sunday tho... was able to unload $100 worth of dollar-discount coupons between the parking garage and the gate. Here's a (belated) trick for the Chicago show: If you don't feel like parking and hiking/shuttling from the CTA station ($1.75 to park) you can park at the Hotel Sofitel across the street, eat breakfast and park for free (the restaurant will validate your parking stub). If your breakfast is in the "coffee and a bagel" neighborhood and you come alone, you'll still pay less than the "official" Rosemont parking gate.

I enjoyed the show... you never know who you'll run into there (saw many friends from all across the motorcycling spectrum) and I got to check out my next motorcycle purchases (a 600 GSXR to race and some flavor of Dyna to build into a 100+ HP "monsterette").

It was a good show. Went with some friends, met some more there, and even made some new ones. :) Got there about 4:30 and stayed until it closed at 9:00pm. Then had dinner at Gibson's - fantastic food, and lots of it. IMS has gotten much bigger than I recalled. It's definately worth the trip. IMHO
